Recently, a project that uses paper sludge to produce plastic siding boards has been put into production after a hundred days of trial operation. The project was initiated in China and effectively solved the problem of a large number of paper sludge produced by papermaking.
It uses special adhesives developed by a scientific research department as ingredients. After deacidification and deodorization of paper sludge, high-pressure shaping and veneering, a new type of plastic dimensional plate is manufactured. The board is 20 times the compressive strength of ordinary wood with the same specifications, and the cost price is only one tenth of that of wood. Wood can be used for papermaking, packaging, furniture making, and decorative materials. The 100-day trial production has handled 12,000 cubic meters of sludge.
