Ordering information, manufacturing design information, operation information, etc. can be selected from the AMPAC parameter table to create a subset of parameter preparation, and the same system can be created. The coding of this parameter and the idea of ​​a shared database, however, have created several characteristics of the AMPAC system.

AMPAC can handle multiple languages

Coding of parameters eliminates language dependencies in the AMPAC database and applications. Therefore, as long as a certain language is used to confirm that there is no fault in the system for pre-press, printing, post-press and ADF (AMPAC Data Format) job data, then this system can be applied intact in the world.

For example, changing the Japanese in the work order form to the corresponding Chinese, the workflow starts, without having to fiddle with the database, it can be directly used as an AMPAC database in Chinese. Another example is to export the printing machine to Brazil, and change the Japanese to Portuguese, which can be printed instantly as the Portuguese AMPAC workflow. AMPAC does not depend on OS and programming language, but has a personality that can cope with multi-language world standards, and belongs to a system with both economy and efficiency.

Interoperability without conversion

Although XML has arbitrary extensibility characteristics by tags, it cannot be said that "variable = value" is suitable for the control of basic production systems. As for JDF, because of the arbitrary definition of the parameters, various printing related machine manufacturers have paid a huge amount of labor to transfer the information. This is also consistent with the problems in CIP3 / PPF, and even that CIP4 / JDF repeats the same thing (interoperability test).

On the other hand, since AMPAC encodes all the parameters, it guarantees complete uniqueness. Because it is convenient for people to clearly classify and understand all the phenomena, and classify the parameters into the appropriate four levels, it is possible to reliably carry out the transmission of the defined information. The purpose of the printing project is the same as JDF. The contents of this JDF and JMF need only be replaced by a clearly defined AMPAC description, which can simply start a continuous process. No matter which dialect, as long as it is registered in the database, it will become a common language for everyone to use. Therefore, it is needless to say that the vertical connection of the pre-press, printing, and post-press workflows, as well as the horizontal connection between the projects, can be carried out continuously, so the futile interoperability test can be omitted.

Bringing wisdom from stored data

ADF is a format that can describe wisdom. From all kinds of phenomena, only the most suitable phenomenon is extracted, and the best route is constructed by means of combination. This most suitable combination of phenomena is exactly the 5th layer of the hierarchical model defined by AMPAC, and ADF can also describe it. According to the accumulated intelligence described by this ADF, the function of deriving wisdom is calculated by appropriately using the data derivation technique, so it can adapt to various accumulated intelligence, and thus derive various wisdom from it in the same way.

For example, in terms of JDF, machine control data is transmitted from the upstream, and the machine is driven by it, but the optimization of machine control is left to the discretion of the machine manufacturer. AMPAC is not just control information, but based on all information such as machine motion information, engineering information and environmental information at that time, it is stored in the same format as the ADF, and it can be exported as long as the information is explained.
