Experience of replacing main motor belt of offset press

Multi-color offset presses produced by Heidelberg, Beiren, Shanghai, Jingdezhen and other offset press manufacturers mostly use multi-ribbed belt drives. Compared with the traditional V-belt, the V-ribbed belt has the characteristics of reasonable structure, high belt strength, low elongation, heat resistance, flex resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., stable transmission, high transmission efficiency and long service life. Features. But you should pay attention to some basic problems when using it to ensure that the belt works normally.

1. Prevent oil leakage

The oil leakage phenomenon will inevitably occur during the use of the offset printing machine. Although the V-ribbed belt is resistant to corrosion, if the oil leakage phenomenon is not completely solved, if the belt is immersed in oil for a long time, it will also have some adverse effects, which will cause the belt to delaminate, that is, the belt The cloth, glue and strong core material laminated during vulcanization are separated and delaminated under the immersion of engine oil and gasoline, resulting in the scrap of the belt. Even imported belts are inevitable. Therefore, to make the V-ribbed belt durable, we must first fundamentally solve or reduce oil leakage.

2. Make sure the pulleys are in the same line

During the leather loading of the new belt, make sure that the two ribbed pulleys are on the same straight line. The V-ribbed belt is different from the synchronous belt. It adopts longitudinal tooth meshing transmission. If the installation is slightly deviated, the tooth surface of the belt will be damaged until the tooth surface is severely worn, nibbled, and removed.

3. Moderate tension

The tension of the belt should be moderate during the installation process. The belt is installed too tightly and the noise during operation increases. At the same time, it also aggravates the wear and elongation of the belt. Once the belt tension limit is reached, it will break. A customer just bought an imported V-ribbed belt. Due to inexperience during installation, the belt was stretched too tight, and as a result the belt quickly broke. However, if the installation is too loose, it will cause friction and heating of the belt and the pulley, and wear the tooth surface of the belt, resulting in a reduction in transmission efficiency and operation not meeting the design requirements. Therefore, it is recommended that when the new belt is installed, the belt tension is moderate. Use it for a period of time. After the belt and the pulley are run in, the belt is properly tensioned to achieve the best transmission efficiency.
