Agfa to introduce improved violet laser technology at Ifra 07

On October 9, Agfa Graphics, which participated in Ifra07, announced a new generation of Agfa's purple laser polymer, the N92v. This print-resistant, stable, and non-baked plate is suitable for newspaper and commercial printing applications. This plate will be officially met with the public at the Ifra 07 exhibition in Vienna. : N92v is developed on the basis of N91v, which is a widely recognized and leading violet laser plate in the industry. Compared with N91v, the N92v has a higher print rate, better quality, and better printability. This plate is expected to hit the market in early 2008 and eventually replace it: N91v.

Andy Grant, Agfa’s Global Press Manager, said: “The N91v has brought years of service to the global press. The emergence of the N92v will increase the print rate and quality of press media technology to A new height. It is not easy to improve on the basis of N91v, but we are glad that we have done this. It will be a technology that can help our customers win."
